When to the supermarket and saw the sign for clover milk on sale when I pick them up I was told that’s not on sale it’s lafe coconut milk and the girl that’s supposed change the price is not in yet and the manager that would say the price is not right did not come out the 3 cashier kept telling it’s not Correct one of the girl said I am right in Spanish’s the other answer in Spanish that it’s not that one I have pictures of the sign and pictures of my receipt that I was charge 4 for 5 instead of 10 for 10

This place should be shut down PRONTO! The fish is rotten most meat product are! The entire store stinks the managers like 5 on them on the floor at once have horrible customer service with the obvious lack of management skills. Prices are ridiculous especially with most items at the point of reaching its sell by date. This I found Luigi’s ice is priced at $6.95 at food depot totally wrong.! We need something like ShopRite there instead,

A prominently Spanish speaking store so there might be a bit of a communication barrier if you only speak English. Inside there is a small pharmacy, an eyeglass shop, a fragrance store, an electronics store and a pawn shop. You can sell gift cards here for half their value if you need quick cash. The pawnshop also buys gold. The older gentleman with white hair at the pawnshop is very professional, courteous and business orientated. I feel like overall the pricest at this store are quite high compared to other stores however Food Depot has very affordable packages of fresh cut fruit ranging from 2.00 to 3.75. (Watermelon, pineapple, melon,etc) Posting this for those who try to eat healthy or those who are homeless in the area. God bless you all.

I’ve been living in Newark for almost 6 yrs now. I frequent this store to buy stuff I can’t find at ShopRite. If you don’t speak Spanish and need help you have to walk around and ask a few people before you can find someone to help. If you’re black security can some times follow you around very uncomfortable. What I hate with the store the most is the smell. I don’t know why they can have it smelling nice or have no smell. You can’t reuse your mask after leaving this store. The mask stinks.. they really have to improve on odor..

If your not a spanish speaking person you sometimes get ignored or they act annoyed waiting on you and some giggle and look at their co-workers like white people are something to laugh at. This has happened to me in here more than once. Some of the cashiers are pleasant but most of them do the things I listed above. The front end manager is annoyed if you ask her to break a 20.00 bill that their own ATM gives. Some of us have to use public transportation and we all know buses and trains do not accept cash. I said Thank you and she looked the other way and ignored me. And if you bring your own bag and put it at the end where your groceries are after they ring them through the scanner, they just stand there and expect you to bag our own stuff, I don't mind bagging my own stuff but a cashier should at least offer. Maybe if I was spanish speaking... One good thing about this store, they sell very good half sour pickles in the deli/seafood section in the back. They are in a plastic container and very yummy!!! The price is good too for these pickles. Everything else is very expensive! Not a fan of Food Depot.

I went there with my sister that look Spanish n we bought food n manually put in my snap card as I'm awaiting new one, no problem, went by myself with my id and they wouldn't let me purchase, I called snap n they said, no card can be theft because you had to give password. Called store spoke with manager n she said, that true n will get permission from the store manager n call me back, never returned call. I had meat n seafood cut especially for me n to put back in stock was very sad..

My new favorite supermarket. Everything here is perfect. The prices are very reasonable. The meats are fresh and in abundance. The produce section looks very healthy, fresh and happy. They're always properly staffed and I havent seen a long check out line yet. It's conveniently placed right next to a wine and spirits store, a dollar store and A little Caesars pizza which could come in handy if you dont feel like cooking after doing all that shopping❤❤❤❤❤❤
